I was drawing a blank due to my pounding headache, so I looked at everyone else's lists and got some ideas. So many ideas that I had to do twelve...
- Atticus Finch
- Willy Wonka - the Johnny Depp version
- Silent Bob
- Every character Doris Day ever played
- Felix Unger
- Donkey from Shrek
- Mike Wazowski from Monsters Inc.
- Forest Gump. How can you not love Forest?
- Norma Rae
- Kathleen Kelly from You’ve Got Mail
- Harry and Sally
- Bunny Watson from Desk Set

I love Forrest, but not the old stereotype of Southerners as backwards, ignorant, and sexually obsessed perverts.

I wouldn't blame you for that Susan, but honestly I never got any of those things from Forest Gump, or any movie about Southerners for that matter. If anything they are portrayed as a bit wacky.

Denise, I guess I'm a little oversensitive. Most Southerners are that too. Recall that Forrest's young friend, the girl, was being abused by her father in that movie. But then Faulkner didn't help with his books and stories. One of favorite all times books is "To Kill a Mockingbird." I had this idea when I was young I'd be some sort of Atticus Finch...lol. But my responsiblities to Ted, and later our children, sort of got in the way.

forgot to add, and that Forest's Mom sold her sexual favors to the principal to keep him in school despite his mental limitations. Gaaa...both in one movie!
